This Sunday, be at church!
For the past seven months, the Pastor Search Committee has been seeking God’s will regarding the man that God wants to lead this church family. This responsibility has been taken very seriously. For months, we’ve been praying individually and together as a committee. The church family has been praying - for God’s will to be made known.
It is with tremendous excitement that the Pastor Search Committee has announced that Dillon “Chip” Anthony will be at CABC this weekend, coming in view of a call issued unanimously by the Pastor Search Committee.
Brother Chip and his wife, Halee, and their three children – Brinley, Dillon “Dax”, and Baylor, will be at College Avenue on this Sunday, where Brother Chip will preach during morning and evening worship services.
The church is hosting a “build your own” sandwich luncheon immediately following the morning service, in lieu of a potluck dinner so that all church family members can be in Worship Service to hear Brother Chip preach. Lunch will provide additional time for the church family to meet and talk with Brother Chip and Halee.
Church family members whose last names begin with A-L are requested to bring chips and dip, while those whose last names begin with M-Z are asked to bring a dessert. Tea and water will be provided.
After the 6 PM evening service led by Brother Chip, a secret ballot vote will be held to vote on calling Brother Chip. Per church policy, a quorum of at least 50 church members are required to be present to vote on calling a new pastor, as well as the vote passing by at least 75 percent.
All church members are requested to attend both services and participate in selecting the man for our church’s future. We continue to ask for prayer for our church and Brother Chip. We ask God to provide unity and one heart during this critical time in our church’s future.
